Every single village of india now has access to electricity PM Modi. New Delhi: All villages in India have now been connected with electricity ,prime minister Narendra Modi had announced on sunday. On saturday evening, Leisang village in Manipur senapati district became the last village to be connected to national power grid. AS per officials data there were 18,452 villages without electricity in the country at the country at the time of PM modi's taking office in may 2014. "Electricity reached all Indian villages on saturday,"PM Modi said in a tweet.'Yesterday we fulfilled a commitment due to which the lives of several Indians will be transformed forever' he added. Karnataka Assembly elections 2018:2655 candidates in the fray   Bengaluru:A total of 2655 candidates are i8n fray for ensuing may 12 karnataka legislative Assembly polls,according to a data from the state Chief Electoral Office. Of the 3509 who filed valid nominations by the last date on tuesday, 583 candidates with drew by friday and 271 were rejected after their papers were scrutinised on Wednesday, according to the data which was made available on friday night. IIT Madras students plan HUG DAY to protest moral policing on campus S tudents of IIT Madras held a demonstration on the campus on monday by hugging each other this  came after a clerical staff clicked a picture of a student hugging her male friend on the campus.  On 17th April, the girl,a student of Humanities department,was chatting with her friend while she noticed someone was secretly clicking their pictures and making a video of the two. when she confronted the man,she was shocked to know what the perpetrator Udhayakumar was a staff working with applied mechanics.
