Every single village of india now has access to electricity PM Modi. New Delhi: All villages in India have now been connected with electricity ,prime minister Narendra Modi had announced on sunday. On saturday evening, Leisang village in Manipur senapati district became the last village to be connected to national power grid. AS per officials data there were 18,452 villages without electricity in the country at the country at the time of PM modi's taking office in may 2014. "Electricity reached all Indian villages on saturday,"PM Modi said in a tweet.'Yesterday we fulfilled a commitment due to which the lives of several Indians will be transformed forever' he added. Karnataka Assembly elections 2018:2655 candidates in the fray   Bengaluru:A total of 2655 candidates are i8n fray for ensuing may 12 karnataka legislative Assembly polls,according to a data from the state Chief Electoral Office. Of the 3509 who filed valid nominations by the last date on tuesday, 583 candidates with drew by friday and 271 were rejected after their papers were scrutinised on Wednesday, according to the data which was made available on friday night. Banks received highest ever fake currency after Demonetisation:   The banks,including those in the private,public and cooperative sectors and other financial institutions collectively generated 400 per cent more suspicious transaction reports(STRS) at over 4.73 lakhs such dossiers during 2016-2017,the report said. New Delhi:The country's banks received all-time high amount of fake currency and detected an over 480 percent jump in suspicious transactions post demonetisation,a first-ever report on dubious deposits made in the wake of the 2016 notes ban has  revealed. The Financial Intelligence Unit(FIU),that analyses suspicious financial transactions pertaining  to money laundering and terror financing as part of the union Finance ministry establishment,reported that counterfeit currency transactions in the banking and other economic channels witnessed an increase by over 3.22 lakh instances during 2016-2017 as compared to the last year.

IIT-Kanpur student commits suicide in hostel room Kanpur: A student of the Indian Institute of Technology committed suicide on wednesday by hanging himself from the ceiling in his hostel room,police said. Police identified the victim as Bheem singh,a third year student of ph.D.said senior superintendent of police(AKHILESH KUMAR). Singh,who hailed from Ferozabad,was staying at a hostel on IIT campus,the ssp said.Singh's  friends told police that he was under severe stress,the ssp  and added,'The reason behind extreme step is yet to be ascertained as the victim had left no suicide note behind." Singh was last seen on Tuesday,the ssp said.

New Delhi, Apr 2:  Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Sanjay Singh, Ashutosh and Raghav Chadha apologised to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in a defamation case. The AAP leaders issued a joint letter to apologise Jaitley. The BJP leader has also accepted the apology issued by Kejriwal and other AAP leaders, suggested media reports. The defamation case has not been withdrawn yet by Jaitley. In December 2015,  Jaitley filed a civil defamation case against Kejriwal  and AAP leaders Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Bajpayee, claiming that they made “false and defamatory” statements in the case involving DDCA, thereby harming his reputation.
